The type of people that like to tell you that they are an introvert without you asking them are typically awkward and that's their excuse.
The type of people that like to tell you that they are an extrovert without you asking them are typically the one's who like to never shut up and that's their excuse.

I’ve never had anyone ask if I’m an introvert/extrovert …. Though it’s pretty obvious which one I am. I’ve said introvert not as an excuse but as a means to convey information, as in I loose energy fast in large groups of people, I prefer being alone and that does not mean I’m lonely. Sometimes giving a label to my way of existing helps people accept it. Or at least stop insisting that their idea of “fun” is the same as mine.
