Can people that received 5 or even 10+ times more sats via zaps than they sent be considered to use nostr for its cause(tech)?

The tech.. If you use it just use it with no intention the zaps come automatically.
True but shouldn’t these be used to create a better experience for everyone at this early stage?
Yes but instead of people posting value they are Panhandling And begging for sats. So when the panhandling stops that's when we'll use it the right way 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m using it for the tech
I’m using Nostr more for the tech. The freedom of speech that can be said in here can’t be spoken anywhere else because once you start it’s immediate account suspension.
Secondly Nostr don’t ask for contact information as other platforms do.
That depends on whether the zap recipients are posting useful stuff or just begging.
If the expectation is that people will pay forward all their zaps then it becomes a zero sum game anyway and nobody profits.
People who share knowledge or offer entertainment value deserve to use their payments how they wish IMO.
The random zapfests are different. Begging in those then not zapping forward is against the spirit of them, I agree.
Agree 💯. But there are a lot of valuable notes around and when I see people gotten like 250k sats and spent not even 1k it’s hard for me to believe that there was really nothing that was worth a zap.
Additionally, I for example usually don’t zap beggars and still find it very easy to zap my received sats away
For me it’s like this:
I am all into Bitcoin and I don’t mean only financially. Over the past years, it became clear that we need Bitcoin and the things it enables even more than ever.
Nostr is one of the things that we desperately need and everybody into bitcoin should instantly get this.
Yes, Noszr is highly disruptive, but still it needs us to make it grow. And for me, zapping is one of the main drivers. Yes, I’d like to stack every sat but I also want a better future and therefore Bitcoin and Nostr to win.
At this early stage I think it’s crucial that we act responsibly and give our best to make it win. FOR ME, I feel responsible to help achieving this. This is why I love to share love and opportunity by zapping. And you should too, if you’re really here for the cause. Don’t be greedy. Don’t be lazy. HELP TO MAKE IS WIN.
