Everyone, meet Aurelius Adelphios, the stern-faced pilus prior of the Fourth Cohort of the Thirtieth Legion. In The Gladiator's Passion, he is introduced like this: "Egypt-born and a good decade older than Maius, Adelphios wore authority like a cloak."
