Today: my husband in his car slid his way to a graceful sided stop in our deep ravine driveway rather than bust through the rails to the bottom. Our new rain simply added an unseen sheet of ice to the road. So we're thankful he's ok, even if our car is stuck.

Also today: water came pouring into our basement floor. Mind you, it wasn't as bad as nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev but this is a problem we had last year and had gotten it fixed. So we thought.

I don't know how pumpkin cake adds to any of this but today it just needed to find its way into snack time for us all. Snow is drifting again. It's ok; we're warm and together and somehow we'll figure out the troubles of the day.
