The environmentalists don't understand the consequences of fiat economies requiring more consumption in the future. In fiat economies, if we don't consume more, economies tank.

Overconsumption is destroying the planet. With bitcoin, we can reduce consumption and make Earth green again.

So true, this also ties into a low time preference. Spend more on fewer, higher quality items, made by real craftsman. Leads to less waste and garbage made by the current fiat economy.
