I have had federal agents attempt to entrap me more than a handful of times. They have been unsuccessful every time.

I came across this YouTube video about a bitcoiner who did not have my good fortune so I wanted to share.

The last time a real criminal wanted to talk about the possibility of me committing federal offences with them, I knew them nearly a year before we talked about my possible participation. During that year they slowly leaked info and prodded about how I felt about things.

The last time a fed tried to entrap me they jumped in a bitcoin chat looking for someone who could move over $10k of bitcoin buying or selling on short notice.

And that really is it. Criminals operate with a web of trust. Feds don't have time for that unless you are a special case. They will come in hot being loud about how they commit federal crimes and want new people to commit those crimes with.

I have had them try to entrap me for financial crimes, gun crimes, and drug crimes on different occasions and this has been true of their behavior every time.

I'm not here to tell you what laws to break and what to follow, I'm not your dad. But this guys story could easily be one of you buying yourself a nice bull market present.

I better not hear one of you went to jail because you wanted to get the wife a new kitchen during the mania phase of the cycle.

How come they never try to entrap me? Am I not important enough?

Surprised to hear you've encountered such a situation multiple times. You don't strike me as someone who hangs in rough circles

Times have changed.

It mostly has been the result of time spent in sketchy places with sketchy people.

Had one come on strong for a straw purchase at a gun show. It was not very sneaky. They need a slam dunk case I think.

I suspect that if you were a high profile target they might put in a a little more effort. Most of the time they are just looking for a man that looks kinda suspicious and kinda dumb they can trick in 5 minutes.

Not quite as dumb as I look, never caught a charge.

I think the most over the top was the guy who wanted me to convert ar15s to full auto for his biker gang after 1 beer together.

I'm real dumb looking, so I think you're on to something. 😂

I just walked over to the cops and pointed at him. They managed to at least look sheepish.

Same, how do you think I knew that is what they are looking for?
