Super conductors have needed to be very cold, cryogenic temperatures, for the effect to happen. Which takes energy of course to get to.

Room temperature super conductors will change just about everything for us. It makes ultra efficient energy grids/electronics possible. Extremely strong magnets that could be used for propulsion or to help make fusion viable. It would revolutionize our world.
