It is very risky! One big could cause a lot of damage and significant loss! It’s unlikely that all the funds would be lost, but there is probably always a chance. And majority of nodes don’t make anything on routing, probably only few bigger ones 🐶🐾🫡

Exactly. I'm all for lightning but it has a long way to go. A couple years ago I had a number of channels and would use it for my BTCPay server linked to my website for business and personal but it always felt hard to manage and I wasn't even routing anything but my own payments. Always felt like it could just go up in smoke any minute. Unfortunate if progress didn't continue though. Thought about reopening some but the amount I would be comfortable risking makes it difficult to manage the channels.
