Yes. It is a cultural rite of passage where I grew up in Alabama. If you’re providing for your family table, then it gets a pass, but who eats lion meat? This was a trophy ambush and loathsome to its core.

Agree, I am not against hunting. hunting for food is better than factory farming and hunting predators is okay if the grow in numbers too much. But I don’t understand people who actually enjoy it and pay a lot of money to do such trophy hunts.
Numbers of lions are in a dramatic decline as well as other hunted species.
