Understandable. However, these features are not inherent to all cryptocurrencies - some offer greater privacy and control over your funds than others. Have you considered alternative coins?
Either way, programmable money issued by central banks can get in the sea as far as I'm concerned.

It would be an interesting experiment to see how it affects the economy. But what about private currencies like Bitcoin? Would they also "get in the sea"?
