Any tutorial for setting up a private relay? I use umbrel for storage but no one else can or should access it.
Nostr seems good for uncensorable, recent information.
But suppose the year is now 2033.
How many relays will still store this note? And who will be making queries for it?
If you're gonna use nostr for something that needs long term storage like maybe highlighter.com by nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft (fucking amazing), you'll want a private relay or some kind of relay as a service.
It's still on you to take responsibility for your data if you want to truly own it!

install nostr relay app on umbrel
install tailscale app on umbrel
install tailscale on signing device (phone, laptop, wherever you write your posts)
turn on MagicDNS in tailscale dashboard
point apps to your relay at ws://umbrel:4848

That is my relay: only I can write no one can read, it is not a private one: others can read only I can write. Making it availible for others is a tricky part I doubt pi4 can serve the content fast enogh.
