Agreed. I have been trying to imagine what this will look like in the long term because it will make it harder for new people to reach a broader audience, but maybe that is fine.

The appeal of a social media site with a cap on how many people can be reached is a tough sell and the spread of ideas would be slower for those outside the WOT.

It might create greater inequality in influence. I'm having a hard time envisioning all the game theory and implications, but I also think nostr is in its infancy and many of these things will be tweaked as we move forward.
