You’re right, nothing to do with guns.
It’s about decentralizing power and control.
Decentralized military power (guns happen to be highest tech weapon) protects us from tyranny by force.
Decentralized monetary system protects us from centralized control of monetary system.
Both bring balance of power into the hands of the many.
Sorry, I'm still not convinced that you can decentralised the State military power with plebs having guns.
I actually think that it causes more social problems than solutions. But maybe that's just my European way of thinking. 🤷
