life doesn’t have an edit button

This is something I've been seeing for a while and it's inch by inch happening to all the major platforms and websites. The walls are coming up all across the internet and everyone is turning their open spaces into silos.

While this is an infuriating development, a key based social protocol and a push based global payment network fueling an open source, collaborative ecosystem has a *massive* natural advantage in an environment that is increasingly closed and permissioned.

We (#Bitcoin, #nostr, #lightning, #holepunch, etc) may only be 1% of 1% of a corner of the internet, but the pressures that will prove the value of our model are getting greater every day.

Keep building and stay the course.

Splicing implementation when it comes to the Lightning Network will greatly reduce the headaches and limits associated with liquidity. Being able to increase or decrease the liquidity in a payment channel without needing to close the channel, not only makes running the channels cheaper and more efficient, but also boosts liquidity and scalability.

Splicing will help blur the lines between on-chain #Bitcoin and Lighting Network transactions. I cannot emphasize how enthusiastic I am about #Bitcoin not only being the best, but continuing to get better. It’s scary good…while intimidating…when on the seeming cusp of dystopian digital control, scary good digital freedom is your greatest ally.

I'm going to try my absolute best to not get offended by *anyone* on social media anymore. Anytime somebody comes in with some stupid comment, or makes a giant list of assumptions and basically accuses me of something retarded, or is purposefully demeaning, I am not going to react with trying to "one up" them or get super defensive. I'm just going to answer any points or contradict their premise where it makes sense. And where its just totally useless or there's nothing to even argue with, I won't engage.

Doesn't mean I won't be angry about some injustice or crazy story or whatever, and it certainly doesn't mean I will always follow this rule perfectly. Just wanted to make it known for a little bit of reinforcement that this is a goal of mine & I'm going to try to make sure I'm not letting someone else control how I feel, or what I think about.
