It's like some weird punishment for not using apple pay, even though apple pay literally can’t do what profile zaps can do: uncensorable p2p transactions.

Their suggested fix is to “use apple pay instead for these transactions”, except you literally cant use apple pay for p2p txs? Do they expect me to have some ingame currency that you buy and transfer to people? wtf? nostr:note17g4q7xln8ujcwn2jr8g0g5k5vefzfk3g339r3u33fua6pmwv80dqgsmysr

Nostr apps should be more treated like browsers instead of traditional social media apps.

We ran in to this with the scuttlebutt apps too. For example Manyverse.se was temporarily banned because they didn’t have a centralized way of reporting and deleting content. There is no way to delete in scuttlebutt but apple was ok with it looking like it was deleted by hiding it.

With planetary we were forced to collect user data and make it so the app called back to a centralized block list. Manyverse solved it by providing no server information at all in the app. Both solutions sucked.

Apple simply doesn’t believe decentralized systems exist.
