"Play stupid games; win stupid prizes."

Is a restatement of the Generalized Uncertainty Principle in Systemantics:

"Complex systems exhibit unexpected behavior."

But it's a bit optimistic, as even playing smart games can yield stupid prizes.

The distinction is that stupid games cannot yield smart prizes.

Say the banker to the bitcoiner, or the one shorting the housing market in 2008.

Stupid games are a complex system by themselves, so naturally, their unexpected outcome would be smart prizes. But stupid prizes are way more likely.
