This is a common issue with #Xitter users moving to #NOSTR. Most come here for a day and follow 100 people and when their feed lacks interesting content they go back to X to have the algo feed them more BS. In fiat land where followers equates to how much value you can extract from your following, and follower ratio is important to look important, here is quite the opposite. You want to follow as many users here that you find interesting as possible, to be more involved in the conversations. There’s no real answer to the question below about how many people to follow is needed, but I say the more people you follow, the better your experience will be here. nostr:note18nla48egs2dhe5vy9ygfl9uvx4m9sz3mmgyfgux8j2nedntjp7uq0el9qt

Been here for two years
🤝 this wasn’t to call you out, you are certainly not the only one who has had this issue of populating your feed with interesting content
True. This week has been the largest move in a while though. And even when and if it fizzles out, it’s good they have their new accounts set up for the future.
V4V is a world apart from the usual tactics of monetizing followers seen elsewhere. It will take time for people to figure out how to navigate this, perhaps subscription models we've never seen before (NIP42 is very underrated)
Another problem is that a lot of clients are xitter clones, some of which that select relays for new users and select which npubs to follow. It's easy to forget that Nostr is not xitter sometimes, especially since most of the big npubs import their content and followers from xitter, along with all the baggage that brings. Experimenting with different client interfaces can help with the discoverability problem that Nostr is facing now
What’s NIP42?
Authentication. It enables controlled access to relays
