Always in the name of privacy!

beautiful. Even tho google will have your original if your a gmail product… i mean, user.

It's sort of one of the upsides of living in the EU where this is mandated by law.

That is if you:

1. Think this is very important and you actually trust the company to do this. It's not like they will go through any backups or maybe a dump of a production database that ended up on a developer's laptop where it will be backed up to whatever they are using.

2. You don't care about the other horrible things the EU can think of to have the monopoly on your privacy and identity.
