Who thinks I'm crazy if I say the Moon's cycle is 28 days long and there are 13 lunar months per calendar year?
Discussion
Not crazy, it's the Lunar calendar. The Chinese still use it.
The Jewish calendar has 13 months in a leap year & I believe a maximum of 30days in a month but it varies.
Based on moon and sun.
Lunisolar calendar is widespread used amongst cultures in the world
the cycle of a day is solar, and the cycle of a year is solar. lunar cycles are nice and consistent, but don't align with solar cycles precisely. but would make more sense than what we've got in the gregorian calendar
Day names are consistent too.
Gregorian calendar needs to go in the bin.
