Simplex let's you run your own server and uses disposable IDs.
Signal could be censored in a block the entire account sense but they wouldn't be able to block specific content or know what you sent to honeypot it. At most who messaged who and when.

I'm getting sick of people slandering every encrypted messenger that actually works. The result isn't that they switch to your messenger that is so secure even you can't see your messages. The result is they just keep using plaintext.
Agreed. There’s another npub that shits on all the VPN providers as if it provides 0 privacy benefit. People like this are what makes you not want to even try improving privacy.
I know who you mean. I followed them for a bit because it started out as education about the weaknesses of VPNs. Then it went off the rails with the negativity about VPNs, while selling a VPN, and shilling multiple shitcoins.
Didn’t even know they were in shitcoins. Glad I unfollowed.
