It’s so fuckin unfair. It is because of a house i bought with my ex wife where she now lives. She has all the benefits and i shall pay taxes…

A friend of mine is in exactly the same situation now. His wife is a teacher (synonym for infinite income & tons of benefits in Germany, surely you know). And still he has to pay the mortgage because the kids must be given a chance to finish the elementary school, because otherwise she‘d need to move out. He can’t sell his part of the house because of the kids, but he can’t live there either 🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️
To be honest what Germany does to fathers is embarrassing in many ways. Luckily, he found another job with a decent salary to not care about this shit.

But seriously, talk to a lawyer. You might either not need to pay all of these taxes or pay them in rates. That’s what my friend does.
Selling the stack would be really damn sad…

The trick was to have a lawyer insurance. I‘d say it’s worth having one in Germany. Mine for example costs 200€ a year and I really hope I won’t need it. But the example of my friend has shown — it really pays off.
The thing is he pays a few hundreds per year for the insurance, but the lawyer that is managing his and his wife’s case now saves him thousands per year 🤷🏻♂️
Even if you don’t have such an insurance, it’s not the end of the world. Usually a lawyer consultation is for free, and if the lawyer finds your case promising (in the end the lawyer wants to win the case), they would help. You‘ll pay a lot, but you will save even more plus mental health, which is more important than money.

Unfortunately i don’t have a lawyer insurance. Never thought i needed something like that. I always try to discuss my problems directly with the people involved, but it gets hard when the government is the one on the other side …

You‘ll never have the government on your side. They can’t ruin you financially though, at least not here. The can’t take your bitties either, unless you have declared your wallets (not required legally but I know some people do 🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️ you only declare how much you have).
I also asked my friend and he told me you could pay off your taxes in rates if you provide a written statement that doing otherwise would severely affect your daily spendings and life standards, which seems to be your case. You could even apply for an extension of that payment period. See the link below.

Do you really need to declare how much you have? I think if you don’t sell within a year you don’t have to declare anything. But heard a lot of people saying it would be better to do so, because if you bought kyc they will know anyway.

Sadly, you always have to declare all bitcoin you have (we are all good citizens, you know 😉). But what many don’t know is that you don’t have to provide any further information, neither where you store the bitcoin nor where you got it from. Just buy non-KYC, hodl at least for one year and spend freely (or better keep hodling).
