All science or almost all of it lives on public subsidies, all science is corrupt, this includes medicine, you will have to learn to take care of your body outside the state.

“Trust the science”
The whole premise of science is to challenge and put it to the test, if you can’t question it, it isn’t science, it’s propaganda.
It's sad really. I love science, heck I have degree in physics. It's beautiful to understand how the world works. But the more I got into, the more I saw that everyone is just walking around with hats in hand.
How else would you do it though? Patronage from the wealthy or the powerful is a consistent theme ever since science became a thing. Greeks did it, Persians did it, Abbasids did it, and almost everyone did it.
