How do you use the back links? I don't find that much useful and have it disabled...
I don't know much about obsidian, but can tell for Roam Research and Logseq, that Backlinks are fundamental: if you link a Page or use a Tag on a Page, that page is listed as referenced link on the linked page or on the tag-page.
Basically the backlink functionality just means: if you reference [[page B]] on [[page A]], or use #[[tag C]] on [[page A]], [[page A]] is automatically referenced (under linked references) on [[page B]] and #[[tag C]].
That should be the same in obsidian.
What is different: in Roam or Logseq you can reference/link not only other pages, but on a block (bullet point) level...
