This one ledger I have isn’t a coldcard.
I don't really have one because I hardly ever need one. My cold storage is just my seed on steel. I only ever have to generate a new deposit address every once and a while. Otherwise I use software wallets for hot storage.
Do you use TG/Signal?
No. I've used TG before but I'm not a user. Never used signal. Probably never will. If I need a private conversation I just use pgp.

the even remote possibility of phisical or remote seed extraction: I pretty never sign txs from cold storage, so why keep a seed in an HW ready to sign? It adds just an attack vector. For hot wallets, software wallets are pretty cool.

i think every HWW company should do the most strict reliability test in industry at board level and select semiconductor components at least automotive grade 0 meaning -40C to 150C temperature range
