Would you be wiling to have a closer look at my idea if I put together a general description of the project? I’m struggling to find an OSS dev who has time to work on this. I sure am willing to pay for the job.

I am not sure about the time (aren't we all lacking it? :)), but I can most definitely take a look and help you narrow the project down to the essentials.
