A nostr browser extension (like get alby or Nos2x) is a way to use your login info where you are logging into the extension site with your credentials (this will require nsec as well) to verify your identity on other nostr clients. This sets it up as your profile, based on your key pair and also offers features like a built in wallet (in the case of get alby). The other option is to login with your nsec, which is not a great security practice, but our code is fully open source and auditable. It is up to everyone to apply the approach that they are comfortable with, but I can tell you that I personally used an extension on desktop and my nsec to login on my mobile. The third option would be to create a new profile, which will give you a 12 word seed phrase. This can be converted to a new nsec at a later date on nostrtool.com, but will not be the same account that you are currently posting from, but a new nsec/npub. Hope this helps 💜
