I’m totally cool with things being rough around the edges and the developer chat. That’s to be expected. I’m not looking for slick corporate vibes, I’ve spent most my life fighting against that void. When I quit FB/Insta/Spotify and g00gle (as much as possible), it was because I wanted to be the change I wanted to see. The internet will forever remain shit unless I’m pro active in what I want it to be. I can’t code so that’s out but I do make music, I do make a living from it and I do my thing. I also like cats, space, gardening and privacy.

So I’m here to explore and persevere. For a long time on the Fediverse I perhaps only really interacted with 10 people and to be honest, that was cool. I don’t need millions of followers or online ‘clout’. Maybe I’m poorer because of it? Maybe I know how I like to value my time?

I’m not looking for the new X, that platform enabled the ‘Cunt For Clicks’ economy and it’s of no interest to me. Creating meaningful relationships and being able to make a few pence from my music is what suits my needs from a social network.

When I see Hodl6973985326985 posting memes about The Fed it just doesn’t excite me and by saying this I now risk the ire of a pile of Hodls but I also know that’s less likely, as the platform has yet to be gamified for that type of engagement. I hope it never does. Bitcoin is a tool, it’s not going away and I’m cool with it but it’s not my identity. I’m interested in V4V and if there’s usable payment channels (lightning doesn’t appear to be it) then I’m interested. I’ll keep reading and learning.

Anyway, keep on trucking Nostr. Let’s see where this goes…
