If you grew your savings by 10% in a year, but the price of everything went up 10% at the same time because they keep printing money, you made NO PROGRESS at all.

You worked *harder* and consumed less, to end up exactly where you started.

Stop using money that literally scams you out of what you earn.

Or even better you fail to renegotiate salary every year by 10% for the same work and in 5 years you make only ~40%

I'm moving to consulting because of this. Even salary I would have to be locked into a pay rate for 2 years till can re negotiate. As an consultant I can do it every year or choose not to renew.
