I'd like to think so. I didn't rebuttal their false assertion.
But once I got off the phone, I asked myself, am I being deceitful?!
I'd say no and don't worry about it.
Instead, a compliment to your team for their work is once in a while good to give.

My team has been carefully curated over the period of years. They are all self-driven and handle their biz like no other. I express my gratitude to them in different ways and frequently.

"getting by" is more like how I'd classify myself. But keeping at it and hoping to find moments of success along the journey.
