Nip 44 “author & date” is the only metadata available for query?
Discussion
Yes, and both are obfuscated in NIP 17
So… after nip-17 gift wrapping… only receiver npub and approx date sent (within .5 week) will be available for query? Sounds like a dead …
I’m looking to create a metric for measuring the success of “social onboarding”, wherein nostr advocates invite and offer onboarding support to their fiends. I’d like to measure this via notes and DMs sent or received (as well as first follows and followers) for new accounts.
I have a hunch that these types of new accounts (having measurable onboarding support from a nostr advocate) will turn out to be retained longer and that an advocates award program could increase their numbers.

You have to choose whether you want privacy or transparency
>“You have to choose”
Do you mean “you” the user or “you” the developer?
A user might “choose” what kind of note to publish.
A developer might “choose” how to process the notes.
Who is “you” and what would be this “choice” that affects privacy over transparency? (Thanks)
