I need to do this for being able to ask questions as I taper off of SSRIs. I've been able to use chatgpt on its own to learn that the medication can deplete magnesium, and low magnesium can make withdrawal worse. My doctor's first reaction to me bringing in research (textbooks and research papers) about ssri withdrawal was "I'm not going to read that". An LLM is not ever going to gaslight me in that way.
YES!! magnesium is SUPER important. doctors are trained to be arrogants imo. :)
we have the tools to build amazing AI today!
I pushed back and after a 45 minute appointment he agreed to read the information. I need his help to get the prescription for the doses I need as I taper off over the next few years. So I needed to get him on board. He actually admitted by the end of the appointment that this info may help other patients of his too. So that was a huge win. But this is what we're up against. I'm in Canada...so private care isn't an option and I have to work with what I have access to. But as for this type of info -- like needing more magnesium -- is something I can use AI to help me. Cause my dr sure as hell isn't going to help out in that area!
yes. imagine an AI that learned from all the best people. curation of knowledge is super important. thats what i have been doing for a year
