The node everyone is running. As in “run your own node”. What is a hardened node, compared to a lightning node?

Well that phrase refers to a Bitcoin Node. A Lightning Node is another piece of software running alongside your Bitcoin Node

Yes, if your running a lighting node,

Can send directly to your wallet. Just go into your wallet and generate an invoice for what you want to send, scan QR code with other lightning wallet and send it

Can also send to your BTC onchain wallet as well.
