I have yet to see any doctor who has ever dismissed that idea. šŸ˜‚

My wife’s oncologists (2 of them) did not make any dietary recommendations

First, I’m sorry she (and you) have had to deal with cancer cause cancer is horrific.

In my own experience of being treated for cancer there was a team of doctors & each has their speciality. I don’t expect a specialist to speak with me about diet when they are specialized to treat cancer. That is the job of the ā€œfamily doctorā€ or physician in my mind.

Are you from another country where healthcare has a more holistic approach? Believe me, I agree that the US healthcare has issues. šŸ’œ

Yes, our primary doc is great about that. I guess I just thought that a cancer doctor would make diet recommendations that might help the body fight cancer.

That’s fair. Just because we (and others I’ve known) have had the same experience it doesn’t mean it’s the best treatment.

I know others have tried various ways to heal as I’m sure you do as well. Maybe in the future with enough of us ā€œsurvivorsā€ telling our stories things might change. Cancer sucks & takes so much from us I know it’s always hard to speak about it for myself.

Thanks for speaking on it, you’ve made me reconsider it more & how patients are treated. I may go back into patient advocacy again. šŸ’œšŸ™ŒšŸ™
