Maybe.

We think DM has mass and we think that mass exerts a gravitational force. But we don't understamd gravity yet. All we really know is that DM exerts *some kind of force*

makes sense. i heard something about higgs or whatever, in field theory, slowing everything down, which allows matter to exist.
