Anyone still using Simplex or all back defaulting to Signal
Normies barely use Signal, so might be a while before Simplex becomes a thing.

I've got plenty of normie friends using Signal. It's nice to be able to communicate with them privately and using an app with good UX.
Even most needs cannot be bothered to use signal
