Dune part 2 is super overrated
Discussion
yeah maybe... but it's still better than any of that woke starwars shite they've brought out.
and in my humble opinion it's the best sci-fi has to offer currently??
Yes. Pretentious a f. Both part one and Bladerunner 2049 were way better.
Most arguments are about definitions. Depending on your conceptualisation of "overrated", I may or may not agree.
The books are not
Agreed, wasn't that great
I like that creepy black and white planet tho
i do not agree.
Chani was super annoying
Rushed the second half (pt 2). Wish they’d taken the same time as the 1st.
I totally agree… I’m not even going to wasting my time watch pt3…
Did you watched the old movies?
Vaguely recall something about them
I think the movie from 1984 is resume of the story: https://yts.mx/browse-movies/Dune/all/all/0/latest/0/all
The long series from scifi channel was great too
The whole movie is, I wonder if the guys read the book whole being on drugs or something, events don't even take place in the right order!
Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Two introduces notable deviations from Frank Herbert's original novel, particularly in character portrayals and plot developments.
In the novel, Alia Atreides, despite her young age, plays a pivotal role. The film adaptation alters this narrative. This change was likely made due to the practical challenges of depicting such a young character committing such act on screen (avoiding spoilers).
Additionally, the character of Chani undergoes significant transformation
Honestly I liked more, in terms of being close to the source, the one made by David Lynch. 🤷🏽♀️
🎬 Unpopular film opinion :
I was bored by Dune 2 👀
david lynch’s dune or BUST
No
If it was 1 film instead of 2 parts, i think better.
Dune part 2 is what helped me appreciate Dune part 1. Before it was released, I was firmly in the David Lynch camp.
Yeah, First one was better
Yes, I loved the books as a kid. The movies are... Eh... Uninspiring.
