I have no sympathy for slaves who wear their chains (obedience) proudly. The recent booing at a certain recent commencement speech mentioning bitcoin has me feeling a bit bearish on the fate of humanity.
I have always advocated a partial success of bitcoin and it is being fulfilled to the millimeter, bitcoin will only be used by the elite to protect themselves from monetary debasement, the elite will prevent the plebs from being able to buy and use it, and the plebs will applaud.
And the plebs will actually be lead by politic demagogues to attack other pleb bitcoiners. Bitcoiners will be blamed for the inevitable financial reckoning. Be careful when mentioning bitcoin and who you reveal yourself to, I feel like I already revealed too much of myself to too many people.
There is nothing stopping the plebs from stacking now and everyone had a chance since 2009. Even with current distribution it is still the most pro plebs distribution of store of value that we ever had in human history. That is normal I think.
I agree with point of millions being priced out but the same people are totally not interested in domain change that requires immediate reaction, upgrading both skill and understanding of what is going on.

Yes, I agree with you, but imagine the situation in the medium term:
The fees are $100 per transaction, which prevents the plebs from opening Lightning channels, and there is no longer Lightning custody are KYC, on the other hand Liquid either becomes KYC or closes.
It is not such a far-fetched situation, and the masters of the world would control BTC through KYC.
The fees will be higher but as we see now the Armageddon of those high fees chilled down...So may be that can be avoided.
What I want to say is that with all that this protocol is the only chance humanity has for not ending up as cyber slaves for centuries.
I am not a dev but I know that there is a lot of people who work to not make that happen and Until they code we have chance. I support that and I believe that #bitcoin will break this system...it will a rough and dangerous ride but we all have work to do.
