Yeah SF where I live has been asking officers who are about to retire to stay on because they can’t get enough recruits. No one wants to deal with homeless all day so existing officers are forced into overtime.
I definitely don’t want to be a boot licking cop, but would exponentially rather be out on the street than being a dumb software developer

What cop makes 100k a year? Thought most were about 50k. Must be a San Fransisco thing.
