After thinking about Iran for week or so, I have tentatively reached this conclusion: Trump has insisted that Iran's nuclear facilities are destroyed to stop Israel from escalating the conflict with further strikes. This claim is unverifiable in any meaningful way atm. Meanwhile, his willingness to discuss rebuilding a peaceful nuke site in Iran and allow Iran to sell oil to China (presumably for the yuan), suggests that he does not share Netenyahu's interest in regime change.
