"crime and punishment" is a great book, virtually the prototype for stuff like American Psycho and Dexter, at the time it was very very edgy, the dude almost got executed over his books

i found it interesting also that it's pre-communist, and in it in several places he talks about the emerging cult of free love appearing in russia at the time
