I think one of the funniest things that ever happened to me was when I was doing driver training. I was only like 25 at the time but I'd been driving 4 years already, and had been in and around trucks my entire life. I was driving outlaw freight in to Florida at 18 on the weekends.
An older guy, maybe in his 40s walks in to the orientation, sits with me...and starts telling me all about trucking. How he'd done it his entire life and knew everything. Won a national rodeo. This went on like half an hour.
Then later that day they assigned him to me as a trainee because he'd never been inside a truck outside of the 3 week school in his life
