A new year of war begins in Ukraine, and judging by the previous one, the situation in Ukraine is getting worse. According to an AFP analysis, the Russian army advanced 7 times more last year than the year before. During 2024, they conquered almost 4,000 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory.

Another year is behind us and it was full of great and significant events that will mark not only the beginning of 2025, but also probably many others that will come after. In this sense, 2025 will be, by all accounts, crucial, especially its beginning. Can the war in Europe be stopped? What can we hope for? Assuming that both armies are so exhausted and beaten that they simply no longer have the will to attack or defend themselves?
