Bitcoin Cash != Bitcoin.
It's kind of sad how after all these years, they still grasp at every opportunity to reassure themselves. But also a little funny. Also, the title is clickbait (I fell for it dang it, got curious what the BS was about) :D
It is BS indeed. But the facts that I get that notification every now and then is even worse
You're probably subscribed to the /r/btc subreddit. Just unsub and you should no longer get the notifs. Also, I imagine there should be a way to turn off notifs.

These are reddit-like thread-based experiences, on Nostr. There seem to be two Bitcoin communities there however, unsure which is the most active. Because they're connected to Nostr, they work kind of like focused posts - They'll display on your usual timeline, but be targetted at users within the community you posted to.
