Very nice, I can’t seem to figure out a CAD program for the life of me! Would love to start designing and building what comes into my head! Maybe a CAD program other than FreeCAD would be easier to figure out…?

I started using onshape, free version. Also, check out tootalltoby.com if you want some practice projects, with tutorial videos, to learn. I havent used FreeCad, but onshape is great.
