Often the verses are seen too literally in the Bible when they are metaphors. Jesus is seen as a man who has worked miracles. Some see Jesus as a metaphor for the sun. God's Sun, which heals, which at sunset by the sea looks as if it were walking on water, and which at the solstice in winter 'rises' after 3 days, with days lengthening again.
