thermaltake water cooling for the CPU too

Nice spec

thank you

No GPU?

Can the board run the ryzen headless?

yes its headless

but every mainboard got a gpu

this will be enough for installing

the startOS or do maintenance

Hopefully you're right.

I don't think I can boot mine headless.

Normally this is reserved for server stuff.

i think with linux ints possible somehow

it has nothing to do with the hardware

it depends on the OS which you are running

Well I’d be surprised

Please report back to confirm

i will try first before i buy the second ssd

i still got some smaller ones laying around

SSD? You meant GPU, right?

its a small graphics chip on the mainboard

if you dont play video games

you also dont need a heavy gpu

Can the board do 2x NVMe? That’s the only thing I’d suggest is 2x ssd in RAID mirror, I have not had great luck with those Samsung drives tbh

yes it got 2 x M.2 slots and mainboard is able to do

a raid 0, 1 or 10 but i dont know if that works well?

Yeah it would offer some redundancy if one drive fails.

You can set up the two drive in Raid during Ubuntu install, don’t need the hardware raid

i run startOS so i have to use the mainboard raid

Ahhh ok ok. No idea if that’s a good trade off or not. I had problems with my 990’s and the raid saved me more than once. I have since switched to WD drives

Sovereignty starts at home.

Self-hosted. No cloud. No trust.

StartOS + Bitcoin = freedom.

GM! How about installing Proxmox VE on your beast of server at first and put that new StartOS in a VM managed by Proxmox?

its something i heard a lot

is proxmox that stable?

okay i could use my server in different ways, this i get.

but i like to run a lightning node

and for that proxmox feels a little less safe to me

https://cercatrova.blog/proxmox-installieren/

durch proxmox wird aber für mein setup nichts besser

ich möchte den server nicht mit 2 ebenen software belasten

das macht nur sinn wenn man verschiedene VM laufen lassen möchte
