This is where my wife and I grew up, where we used to live & work with the farmers for many years. Last year we decided to leave, it was a plethora of reasons.

Seeing this in our (ex)local newspaper today is shocking:

“Farmer is not allowed to milk his cows in the night anymore”

Not so long ago there was the demand to increase capacity or stop farming, so they increased. Now there's the demand to make less noise and only within a certain time window.

People apparently don't want to eat or something.

This is the same shit with wolves around the place i live. The people that want the wolf around don't mind because it won't be running around in the suburbs where they live while at the same time all the (sheep) farmers that live around the forests where the wolves are get to carry all of the burdens. Freaking clown country..

And slaughtering the wolves won't help the sheep farmers, this has already been proven too many times.

When you kill the wolves it creates an imbalance, which ends up killing more sheep.

But sheep farmers are morons.

More sheep die from exposure than wolves.

Over here there have been no wolves for 100 years, so it's not the same.

That was probably unclear from what i said. We got rid of all the wolves for over 100 years. Then about 5 years ago 2 wolves crossed the german border and settled in the nature reserve around where 90% of sheep farmers are.

There was a long debate about if we should keep them or get rid of them again and people who did not have to deal with them made the decision to let them stay. Now there's some 30-40 in the reserve and keeping sheep has become impossible.

No matter what your general concern is about sheep farmers (I don't think you should generalize an call them all retards), they were promised they could keep sheep there but once again the government has proven to be the morons and protect the wolves instead of the people they promised to protect from wolves a century ago.
