I witnessed and assisted with a cardiac arrest today at a gym, person on an exercise bike- got them on the floor- did CPR, AED was close- used, choc x 2. ROSC!!!
Visited him in the trauma bay at our rural hospital a few hours later, smiling- stable- family by his side.
Admitting diagnosis- Cardiac arrest
Still feels sureal. AED use and CPR save lives guys- easy with the new AEDs. Encourage everyone to get BLS! It is so important! 🩺❤️

My father-in-law had an out of hospital cardiac arrest. Some thing like 1 in 10 survives, but only some of them are not vegetables. It’s not even half I believe. The accurate stats are grim.
