Here’s an example from just now, browsing global. The second screenshot shows a tiny gray bar at the bottom that says “Just trying to be the best me.” Tapping anywhere dismisses it. Tapping the profile again brings it back. Sometimes I can get the thing to actually show if I tap-tap-tap to show/hide multiple times. But it’s inconsistent.

Here’s the npub of the failing account, in case it helps with debugging: nostr:npub1euhhsgdgnpgfum8j5tv6xttlu5hw7qthxpljqa6htjt2j2fha8dsdnlgtl

I hope you find your way to my account brother ⚡️

What are the steps to consistently recreate this tiny grey bar view? Does it happen only on certain profiles nostr:npub1v9qy0ry6uyh36z65pe790qrxfye84ydsgzc877armmwr2l9tpkjsdx9q3h ?

Below is a screencap that I see when I tap on the PFP of the profile shared.

The problem is with the “Action Sheets” feature, not the profile page. Profile page works fine.

I’m on TestFlight v 1.6 (28)

Action sheets should work the same if on universe, or profile page.

Steps to consistently recreate will help troubleshoot.

Do you by chance have certain iOS accessibility settings that might affect iOS app behavior?

iOS 16.6.1 (20G81)

Damus TestFlight v1.6 (28)

Steps:

1. Settings -> Appearance and Filters -> PROFILES -> Show profile action sheets (enable)

2. Go to Universe (search icon in bottom nav bar)

3. Scroll down past the hash tags.

4. Tap a post’s profile icon.

5. If the Action Sheet appears, tap the space above it to dismiss.

6. Keep scrolling and tapping icons until you find one that fails. A failing Action Sheet shows only a bit of profile quote text if any.

For me, it seems like Action Sheets tend to work for profiles I’m following and tend to fail for profiles I don’t follow. But it’s hard to discern a pattern. Once an Action Sheet shows up for a given profile, it continues to show.

Not that I know of? Although I am using that hack that allows note zaps. Can’t remember what it was.

nostr:npub13v47pg9dxjq96an8jfev9znhm0k7ntwtlh9y335paj9kyjsjpznqzzl3l8 I cannot recreate on iOS 17.

This might be a iOS 16 issue. I’ll open a ticket

Yeah, I also suspect that this might be specific to iOS 16

Upgraded to iOS 17.2 (21C62). Have not been able to reproduce the issue since.

nostr:npub1v9qy0ry6uyh36z65pe790qrxfye84ydsgzc877armmwr2l9tpkjsdx9q3h, on top of nostr:npub1zafcms4xya5ap9zr7xxr0jlrtrattwlesytn2s42030lzu0dwlzqpd26k5's question, can you please let us know what version of iOS and what version of Damus you are running on?

Oops I just saw you posted the Damus version while I was typing my last comment 😜

Can you please let us know about the iOS version too? Thanks! 🙏
