also put another way, maybe…

it’s always just consensus (of the mob) and fear of the mob, and everyone has to somehow cope or navigate through life w this. there can be more than one mob for any given thing, so it can feel like there is a better set to agree with when all too often, all are misguided. then (luckily & bravely) there are individuals who come in & really fight & risk their reputations to try to correct course for everyone.

for each of all to DYOR makes it seem like everyone is going to be or can be the lonely warrior who can know better…but perpetually, in the present, it will mostly always just be what the mob believes (or what the powerful want to be believed).
